Anacin was introduced in 1916 by William Knights and gained popularity through its association with Heidbrink and Co. and effective marketing that featured cultural imagery. In 1930, Anacin was introduced by Geoffrey Manners, a Bombay-based under the Wyeth group. Which also manufactured Forhans toothpaste and Anacin tablets, was controlled by the U.S. multinational American Home Products (AHP).
