Pam Art Studio was founded in 1950 by V.G. Parchure and Vishnu Mayadeo. In their early years, like D.R. Bhosle, they painted banners. Later, they transitioned into print work and began designing posters for Bollywood films. Their work included posters for movies such as Shin Shinaki Bobbla Boo (1952), Gunah (1953), Sheroo (1957), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Phool Aur Patthar (1966), Devi (1970), and several other popular Bollywood films.

Baarish (1957) is a Hindi-language crime drama directed by Shankar Mukherjee, marking his debut as a filmmaker. The film stars Dev Anand as Ramu, a young man tangled in petty crime, and Nutan as Chanda, the woman he loves. The supporting cast features Nana Palsikar as Gopal, Anwar Hussain as Mohan, Lalita Pawar as Chanda’s mother, and Jagdish Sethi as the villainous gangster, ""Boss.""

The plot centers around Ramu, who becomes consumed with revenge after his friend Gopal is murdered by the notorious gangster Boss. Ramu is deeply in love with Chanda, but his quest for justice pulls him further into a dangerous world of crime and violence. With the help of his loyal friend Mohan, Ramu plots to outwit Boss and bring him to justice for Gopal's death, navigating through challenges and moral dilemmas along the way.

The film features a memorable soundtrack composed by C. Ramchandra, with lyrics by Rajinder Krishan. Among the notable songs are ""Dane Dane Pe,"" ""Kehte Hai Pyar Kisko,"" and ""Phir Wahi Chand, Wahi Hum, Wahi Tanhai Hai."" The song ""Mr. John"" is particularly memorable for its vibrant dance performance by Helen.
