This poster by Mu. Ramalingam promotes Chandrika Ayurvedic Toilet Soap features Lord Murugan (also known as Kartikeya). He is depicted standing on a lotus flower, holding a spear (vel) in one hand while raising the other in a blessing gesture. Adorned in traditional attire and jewelry, his expression radiates both serenity and strength. At his feet are a peacock and a snake. The serene backdrop, with temples, mountains, and a river, evokes a sense of divinity and harmony with nature. In the top left corner, a bar of Chandrika Ayurvedic Soap is depicted. Chandrika was established in 1940 by Sri Kesavan Vaidyar, a physician from Irinjalakuda, Kerala. In its early years, the brand struggled to sell the soaps, but eventually, public demand grew. This success led to exports to Western countries, Europe, America, the Middle East, and the Far East.
