More Info

The poster shows a woman gracefully balancing three pots on her head, each adorned with imagery showcasing Pakistan's cultural and natural heritage. The top pot features a woman in the scenic Hunza Valley, the middle pot portrays the iconic Harappan Dancing Girl alongside an image of Gautam Buddha, and the bottom pot depicts a majestic tiger and a boat resting on a riverbank. The woman's veil bears the inviting tagline, "Come to Pakistan," promoting the nation's tourism. In the early 1960s, tourism was managed by the Bureau of Tourism under the Ministry of Commerce and Transport. Later moved to the Civil Aviation Authority in 1964, and ultimately was replaced by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in 1970.
