More Info

Dil Diwana (1974) is a Hindi-language drama directed by Narendra Bedi, starring Randhir Kapoor as Vijay and Jaya Bhaduri as Nita. The supporting cast includes Aruna Irani as Gita, Kader Khan as an advocate, and Durga Khote as Vijay's grandmother. The film's music, composed by R. D. Burman, features popular songs like "Sun Neeta" and "Ja Re Ja Bewafa", both sung by Kishore Kumar.

The story follows Vijay, a wealthy and carefree young man who spends his days idly and his nights with various women. His adventures take him to Kashmir, where he has a brief affair with Gita, and later to Bombay, where he falls for Sunita. The plot thickens when Sunita discovers Vijay’s involvement with Nita, unaware that Nita works at Vijay's firm. Inspired by Nita's positive influence, Vijay decides to turn his life around and introduces her to his grandmother, with plans to marry her. However, the arrival of Gita from Kashmir, along with her brother Pyarelal and a child she claims is Vijay's, creates unexpected complications, testing Vijay’s relationships and sense of responsibility.

Released on January 1, 1974, Dil Diwana combines romance and drama, enriched by R. D. Burman’s unforgettable music.
