This poster features Gogia Pasha and his Bhoot Mahal, with a central portrait of Gogia Pasha wearing a turban and smiling, surrounded by smaller illustrations of his magic acts. Born Danpat Rai Gogia in Multan (now in Pakistan), Gogia Pasha became one of the most renowned magicians of his time. After the partition, he moved to Dehradun and honed his craft in England. Upon his return to India, he adopted the name "Pasha" and added a distinctive look with a goatee, shimmering robes, and turbans. He also took on the moniker "Gilly Gilly Man," inspired by Egyptian slang. In the 1950s, he proclaimed himself the "World Renowned Egyptian Master of Magic" and "The World’s Greatest Entertainer." He became the president of the Indian Magicians Club in 1953 and co-founded the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 1956. Gogia Pasha’s performances blended Western and Asian magic, and he continued to entertain audiences until his death in 1976.
