More Info

The lithograph by Gonesh Chatterjee portrays Goddess Laxmi, the Hindu deity of wealth, fortune, and prosperity, seated on a lotus with her feet resting on another lotus that drifts in a lake. She wears a red saree, adorned with jewellery and a crown, holding a sheaf of paddy and a kalash in her left arm, and a lotus in her right hand. Beside her, an owl sits upon the rock. In the background, a river flows into the lotus-covered lake, framed by mountains and a lush green garden.
