This lithograph by P. Victor depicts Maharaja Madho Rao Scindia I of Gwalior, who ruled from 1886 to 1925 and was the fifth Maharajah of Gwalior from the Scindian dynasty. He introduced key reforms in administration, education, and public health during the late British colonial period. He was also honoured with the title GCSI and served on the Imperial Legislative Council.
