More Info
This poster by Ferozsons in Karachi, showcases dancers performing Raas-Leela, a traditional Manipur dance. After the 1947 partition of India, many Manipuri migrated to East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), preserving their dance traditions. During this time, East Pakistan adopted Manipuri dance to promote tourism. Founded in 1894 by Maulvi Ferozuddin in Lahore, Ferozsons began as a printing and publishing house, later expanding to a bookstore for students, teachers, and book lovers, while also producing tourism posters.
