Sheikh Rehman is the last remaining film poster painter in the city. His studio operates in the traditional style of the old masters, tucked away behind the screen of Alfred Talkies, a nostalgic, vintage Hindi film cinema. This is Rehman’s domain, where he reigns like a painter prince of a bygone era. He has created posters for Bollywood films such as Mohabbat Zindagi Hai (1966), Aaye Din Bahar Ke (1966), Shagird (1967), and many other iconic movies.

Mohabbat Zindagi Hai (1966) is a Hindi romantic drama directed by Jagdish Nirula and produced by K.C. Gulati under the Roop Chhaya banner. The film stars Dharmendra as Amar and Rajshree as Neeta Mehta, with supporting performances by Mehmood as Manglu, Deven Verma as Advocate Vikram Sinha ("Vicky"), Nazir Hussain as Mr. Sinha, and Badri Prasad as Mr. Mehta.
The gripping narrative revolves around Neeta, the daughter of wealthy coal-mine owner R.N. Sharma, who harbors resentment toward her, blaming her for the death of his wife during childbirth. After his demise, Neeta is named the sole heir to his vast estate—but with a catch: she must be married to claim the inheritance. To escape this constraint, Neeta hatches a bold plan to marry Amar, a convict on death row, assuming his execution will soon free her from any obligations. However, fate intervenes as unforeseen twists unfold, challenging her assumptions and altering the course of her life.
The film's music, composed by O.P. Nayyar with lyrics by S.H. Bihari, features memorable tracks such as "Yeh Purnoor Chehra," "Tumhari Mulaqat Se," "Na Jaane Kyun Hamare Dil," and "Nazar Nazar Se Milao," sung by legends like Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle. The melodious soundtrack played a key role in the film's popularity.
