Raghuvir Mulgaonkar (1918–1976) was a realist painter. In his 30-year career, he painted 7,000 paintings on various subjects, including mythology and social issues. He learned to paint from S.M. Pandit. He used to paint three to four paintings a day and earned the label “the artist whose brush never dried.”

The poster depicts Goddess Lakshmi seated on a lotus pedestal floating on the cosmic ocean, radiating grace and prosperity. Beside her, Lord Vishnu rests on a coiled Sheshnaag bed, both adorned with crowns and jewellery, as Lakshmi offers a lotus, symbolising purity and divine harmony. The packaging labels are elegantly displayed in the foreground.
N. K. Subbiah Setty and Sons was established in 1932 in Bangalore. They were the pioneers in the agarbatti and incense industries in South India.
