More Info

Naami Chor (1977) is a Bollywood action-drama directed by Kamal Mehra, with a story and screenplay by Prayag Raj and K.B. Pathak. Starring Randhir Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Neetu Singh, Padma Khanna, Ajit, and Premnath, the film follows Raja, a brilliant young man who becomes a skilled safe-cracker after his father is wrongfully convicted. Consumed by anger, he turns to crime but finds hope in Leena, a judge’s daughter, who inspires him to reform. However, just as he decides to change, Inspector Anand pursues him relentlessly. On his wedding night, Raja is forced to open a safe to save a child’s life, leading to a series of trials that test his determination. In the end, justice prevails, and Raja redeems himself, reuniting with Leena.

The film’s music, composed by Kalyanji-Anandji, enhances the narrative with memorable songs like "Aaye Hain Jo Mehfil Men" (Mahendra Kapoor, Asha Bhosle), "Sukh Aur Dukh Is Duniya Me" (Mukesh), "Aapse Mujhe Aapse Maniye Na Maniye Pyar Ho Hi Gaya" (Asha Bhosle), and "Kehte Hai Mujhko Raja" (Kishore Kumar). With its blend of action, drama, romance, and suspense, Naami Chor remains an engaging watch from the 1970s Bollywood era.
