More Info
This poster printed by Associated Printers in Madras features two women in traditional Indian attire, likely performing Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form. It serves as an informational piece for a dance show titled "Yogam Mangalam," with the title prominently displayed at the bottom. The show was advertised to take place at the New Empire Theatre in Bombay (now Mumbai), near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Opened in 1908 as a live theatre for plays, the venue was later renamed New Empire Cinema, which screened its first film in 1930. Unfortunately, it closed in 2014 due to ongoing financial losses.
