This lithograph, titled
'Sawan Ke Jhool", published by Hemchander Bhargava, beautifully captures the enchanting scene of Lord Krishna and Radha seated on a swing tied to a tree branch in a lush green forest. Krishna, elegantly dressed in traditional attire, holds a bansuri (flute) in one hand while gently resting his other hand on Radha’s shoulder, symbolizing their deep love and divine connection. Radha, adorned in graceful attire, is seen affectionately offering paan to Krishna.
The scene is further enriched by the presence of female attendants who enhance the festive atmosphere—some respectfully wave chowris (fly whisks) as a mark of devotion, while others carry offering plates filled with fruits and sweets. Set in a serene garden, the artwork beautifully evokes the essence of the Sawan (monsoon) season, a time of romance, joy, and divine celebration.
