Talwar Ka Dhani is a 1956 Hindi-language costume drama directed by Dwarka Khosla and produced by Vikas Productions. The film boasts a notable cast, including Manhar Desai as Vijay, Nadira as Rani, Anwar Hussain as the antagonist Megha, Shammi as Indira, B. M. Vyas, and Sulochana in the role of Queen Mother Sudha.
The story follows a queen mother (Sulochana) who hides her infant prince to protect him from the tyrant Megha (Anwar Hussain). To overthrow Megha, loyalists Vijay (Manhar Desai), Rani (Nadira), and Gopu (Maruti) infiltrate the palace disguised as dancers. Their mission is to rescue the princess and reunite the heirs. Despite betrayal by the maid Indira (Shammi), they receive help from Saroj (Kammo), leading to a climactic battle that ends Megha’s reign. The queen appoints Vijay as vizier and blesses his marriage to Rani.
The film's soundtrack includes "Neend Na Aayi Raja Tum Bin," sung by Asha Bhosle, with music by Chitragupta and lyrics by Gopal Singh Nepali, capturing the era's signature melodic charm.
