The Train (1970) is a Hindi-language spy thriller directed by Ravikant Nagaich and produced by Rajendra Bhatia. Starring Rajesh Khanna as Inspector Shyam Kumar, the film features Nanda, Helen, Madan Puri, and Iftekhar in key roles. The music, composed by R.D. Burman, includes the timeless hit "Gulabi Aankhen Jo Teri Dekhi" sung by Mohammed Rafi.
Inspector Shyam Kumar is assigned to bust a smuggling gang operating via train routes. During the mission, he falls for Neeta (Nanda), unaware of her father’s criminal ties. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Lily (Helen), connected to the gang, adds intrigue. As Shyam digs deeper, he gets framed and must clear his name while uncovering the real culprits.
With fast-paced action, suspense, and a stellar soundtrack, The Train remains a notable film from Rajesh Khanna’s golden era.
