This poster illustrated by C.V. Tirodkar, features a vibrant design highlighting "Walavalkar's The Great Royal Circus of India." The central figure is a cheerful clown, accompanied by an elephant balancing on a ball, two cockatoos pulling a cart, and a monkey riding a bicycle. The bright yellow background enhances the lively illustrations.
The Great Royal Circus, one of India’s oldest troupes, was founded in 1909. Originally called Madhukar’s Circus, it was taken over by Narayan Rao Walavalker in the 1970s, who renamed it. As an animal trainer, Walavalker expanded the circus's reputation, making it one of the few Indian circuses to perform internationally.
