This poster advertisement for Woodward's Gripe Water features a depiction of the Hindu deity Krishna as a child, standing on the head of a multi-headed serpent in a river, holding a bottle of Woodward’s Gripe Water. The background includes a river scene with a city skyline, along with cows and a smaller logo of a baby in a circle. William Woodward invented gripe water in 1851 in England to treat infants with gastrointestinal discomfort, colic, and teething pain. Woodward’s Gripe Water was introduced in India by TTK in 1928.
