This vibrant lithograph titled Yugal Murthi by artist Joglekar portrays the divine union of Krishna and Radha, standing on a lotus amidst a serene natural setting. Krishna, adorned with a peacock feather and playing the flute, gently embraces Radha, symbolizing harmony, devotion, and divine love. Their richly detailed attire and affectionate posture evoke a sense of spiritual intimacy.
The Yugal Murthi—the divine couple—holds deep significance in Bhakti traditions, representing the eternal bond between the soul (Radha) and the divine (Krishna). More than romantic imagery, it embodies spiritual union, selfless love, and the soul’s longing for oneness with the divine, making it a powerful symbol of devotional surrender.
