Diwakar Karkare was a highly revered poster designer in Bollywood, regarded as one of the greatest in the field. An alumnus of the J.J. School of Art, Mumbai, his creative vision and masterful craftsmanship brought over 1,000 posters to life, including iconic designs for Waqt (1965), Don (1975), Sholay (1975), Silsila (1981), and Satyam Shivam Sundaram (1978). His career began with the poster for Bimal Roy’s Benazir (1964), and he stepped away from the industry after working on K. Vishwanath’s Eeshwar (1989).

Zindagi (1976) is a Hindi drama film directed by Ravi Tandon and produced by Romu Sippy, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Mala Sinha, Vinod Mehra, Moushumi Chatterjee, Anil Dhawan, and Aruna Irani.
The story follows Raghu Shukla, who lives in a small town with his wife Sarojini, their sons Naresh and Ramesh, daughters-in-law Sudha and Shobha, daughter Seema, and nephew Prabhu. Upon retiring, Raghu uses his savings to clear debts, expecting support from his sons. However, his children resent this, leading to his separation from Sarojini. She moves to Bombay with one son and faces mistreatment, while Raghu remains with another son, suffering neglect. Witnessing her parents' struggles, Seema takes a drastic step to reunite them, bringing a transformation within the family.
The film delves into familial responsibilities, elder neglect, and social struggles, making it a thought-provoking drama.
